Why 78inc.
A question we get asked a LOT.

78inc ﬂourished under the guise of homage paid to a legacy established a long time ago. Reena’s father was a well-respected businessman and professional rally driver in Tanzania who up sourcing those numbers wherever he could – right down to vehicle registration numbers and mobile numbers.

Upon his passing almost a decade ago, Reena made the decision to continue using these ‘lucky’ numbers in all her endeavors as well. When Reena and Aashiq were in initial discussions of partnering up to start this agency, the subject of a business name came up.

Through back and forth, they realized that Aashiq happened to be born in 1978 – and therefore, the numbers 78 held relevance to him as well. It was an instant conclusion.

The "Inc" was added as the differentiator, most of media house tend to lean towards traditional names that include the likes of agency, media house, media, connect and so on. By adding Inc to the 78,we established a unique brand that prompts a question with every new prospective we approach.

And there you have the evolution of ‘78Inc’.

Hi, I’m Reena a.k.a Corporate Ninja.

I’m part-owner, creative director, and the face behind 78inc. Prior to launching the agency, I’ve worked for over 22 years in various industries ranging from telecommunications, banking, hospitality, mobile networks, security and much more.

In most recent years, I have been awarded with the Top 50 Marketers in Tanzania 2021 and recognized as one of the Tanzanian Sheroes 2021. My team is an extension of your team and I am excited to see what we can work on together.

Not too long ago, I was selected as a Mandela Washington Fellow and attended the University of Notre Dame on the Business & Entrepreneurship track. Prior to being selected as a Mandela Fellow, I’ve accrued a Degree in I.T, a Diploma in Psychology and recognition as an associate of the chartered institute of marketing (ACIM).

78inc has always been a passion project of mine and after spending years in employment it was finally time to take all the skills I had learned over the years and apply them to gaps I had personally experienced in the marketing industry in Africa.

Hi, I am Aashiq a.k.a Corporate Junkie.

I am the founder and Chief of Happiness at 78inc. In other words, I strive to do things that make me happy, which includes helping you and your business scale up.

Before 78inc, I have worked for over 22 years in the internet, tech and service industries. I served in various leadership positions in East Africa's largest Internet companies, building an innovative and successful telecom business. I have been fortunate to play a pivotal role in improving technology and connectivity in Tanzania.

I am an entrepreneur, business development consultant, sales and personal development coach, and a TEDx speaker.

78inc is very close to me because it brings together people on a mission to help other people and businesses grow.
