Digital marketing isn’t a shortcut. While traditional marketing efforts still work, the digital side of marketing is growing by the second, exposing and connecting millions of people to several opportunities.
Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing high-value and relevant content to attract a clearly defined and targeted audience. The goal of gathering this audience is to convert them to paying customers.
So, in layman’s terms, instead of pitching your business - like any other business, your business will be focused on solving issues your target customer is facing. In turn, this psychologically forces them to think of you the next time they need a problem of a similar nature solved.
However, content marketing doesn't mean you throw a bunch of jargon on a post to appear superior or look like you know what you are doing. Your content is only as valuable as its ability to attract the right kind of audience on an ongoing basis, to later convert them and receive feedback.
Content marketing isn’t distributed on social media only. As long as you are providing high-value content, it can be distributed in the form of a blog or even a podcast.
